Art Noire at Springfield Museum of Art

In a small-town like Springfield Ohio, where creativity and outlet is often limited, Art Noire serves two purposes; bring the people together and celebrate black expression. Once a year, they celebrate for the people that are often underserved, overlooked, and under-represented. Featured Midwest artists take the stage, however, small black business owners are essential as vendors and city organizations support as sponsors. The event is hosted by the prestigious Springfield Museum of Art and the night is carefully curated by local artists and experienced professionals, making this a true community effort. Through consideration and intention, this is a safe space for black artists local and near to thrive, connect, and engage with one another.
