The Springfield Foundation celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2023. In honor of this, after an in-depth examination of Clark County's pressing issues and needs, as well as much deliberation and consideration, the initiative committee arrived at a significant decision: to grant $75,000 each year for 5 years to the Rocking Horse Community Health Center's new health center at Springfield High School.
The goal of this new center is to aid in the variety of mental health issues that the youth in our community are facing every day. One of these challenges being the adjustment to transitions, both in physical environments as well as in the community, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Providing mental health services supports an overall healthier learning environment for all students, along with decreasing absences throughout the year.
To celebrate the opening of the center this school year, a Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held on Monday, August 12th, 10:00am - 11:00am, at The Health Center at Springfield High (701 E Home Rd, Springfield, OH 45503). If you plan to attend, please RSVP to sbhc@scsdoh.org.
For good. For ever. For all.
