During this holiday season, the Springfield Foundation is giving back! The Foundation supported and volunteered for many programs that made a meaningful impact during this festival time. Through these endeavors, we not only enhanced the jolly atmosphere but also addressed critical needs in our community, ensuring that the holiday spirit was felt by all!
Holiday in the City: The Springfield Foundation sponsored Holiday in the City, the annual holiday event that features festive activities, decorations, entertainment, and shopping in our downtown. It kicked off the Holidays right!
Rotary Club of Springfield: Sarah, our Director of Marketing and Development, participated in the Rotary Children's Christmas Party, bringing joy and festive cheer to students with disabilities.
Salvation Army: Our Grants Manager, Lori, volunteered with her husband to ring the bell for the Salvation Army this holiday season, fostering goodwill and support for those in need.
Shoes for the Shoeless: The Springfield Foundation staff and board volunteered for Shoes for the Shoeless. We fitted many students with new shoes and socks, right in time for the colder weather.
St. Vincent du Paul: We supported the Holiday Boxes through St. Vincent de Paul, lessening Springfield’s hunger and ensuring families had the essential during this season.
Winter Coat Drive: We collected much needed coats, hats, and gloves for local students. In lieu of holiday cards this year, the Foundation donated $1,000 to supply even more winter apparel, so students can stay warm over the winter.
Women’s Partnership Fund: This affiliate of the Springfield Foundation collected menstrual cycle products during their holiday gathering for Rocking Horse Community Health Center to combat period poverty in our community.
