To cover the costs associated with administering charitable funds the Foundation charges each fund a monthly fee. The administrative fees are charged monthly based on the Fund’s total value at month’s end. The current administrative fees are as follows:

Endowed funds at the Foundation are invested to produce earnings that are distributed in the form of scholarships or grants to not-for-profit agencies. By its very nature the investment philosophy at the Foundation is focused on generating an adequate amount of investment return and at the same time preserving the endowed funds in perpetuity.

In order to allow flexibility in the investment approach, the Springfield Foundation offers four (4) investment pool options. All investments at the Foundation are managed by investment professionals and the Investment Committee of the Foundation monitors the performance of the managers. Additional expertise and oversight is provided by Marquette Associates, a third-party national investment consulting firm.
